For Learners

Whilst FEPI does not advise learners directly, if you are looking to improve your skills, there is a range of support available to you. Below are a series of links aimed at providing you with services that can be accessed for further advice and guidance.

Direct.Gov (Opens new window)

Direct.Gov is the Government’s portal for providing you with a wide range of advice and links on where to find courses, where to go for help and advice, and also, what funding is available to you.

Connexions (Opens new window)

Connexions is a service if you are 13-19, and want advice on learning and training opportunities. It also provides support up to the age of 25 for young people who have learning difficulties or disabilities (or both). It makes available advisers who are able to give you advice specific to your circumstances about what routes are open to you.

Next Step (Opens new window)

Sometimes it’s hard to know what steps to take to move on in work and life. This is where Next Step can help. It provides information, careers and skills advice that’s tailored to you and is available free to every adult in England.

Area Wide Prospectuses (Opens new window)

For aged 14-19 you can search for qualifications and courses in your area. Find your local authority on a map, inform you of your options on the following...

Apprenticeships (Opens new window)

Apprenticeships are one way to earn, whilst in learning. If you are interested in Apprenticeships, this website makes available a wide range of information, answers a number of questions, and lets you search for current vacancies.

Adult Learning Grant (Opens new window)

Adult Learning Grant provides financial help with the costs of learning to low skilled, low income adults who are studying full time for their first full Level 2 or first full Level 3 qualification.

Business Link is the Government’s portal for providing businesses with a wide range of advice on a number of subjects including staff training and development.
